Rasa penasaran saya

Kejahatan? Penebar kebencian? Pembunuh berdarah dingin? Macet? Banjir? Gempa? Ada. Lah sama aja dong kalo begitu? Nggak sama, at least belum sama.

Again and again and again

[Review]

I’m  just wondering, what would I do if I could back to the past,  back to some episode of my life few years ago, few months ago or few hours ago? again and again ?  it will be interesting or boring to the max? dunno.

When I watched Source Code movie last month, I really like its story about back in the same time/situation over and over again. Here little bit story of this movie written by rcs0411@yahoo.com published on IMDB

Colter Stevens an American Army helicopter pilot whose last memory is flying in Afghanistan, wakes up on a commuter train. But he discovers he has assumed the identity of another man. 8 minutes later the train explodes and Stevens finds himself in some kind of pod. He then talks to someone named Goodwin who tells him he has to go back and find who the bomber is. He is sent back and is going through the whole thing again and tries to find who the bomber is but fails and the bomb goes off and he is back in the pod. He is sent back again and still can’t find out anything…

Jake Gyllenhaal as Colter Stevens, he was so good in this movie. Eventhough He backs again and again to the train, we wont get bored because the movie just keep move by its plot story, no such as wasting time on unnecassry story. For some part there will be something like you can said “what the he** is this?” ” How comes?” something like that, but thats only a minor things. Let’s jump to the end of story, Colen Stevens finally can stay in his “new life” as somebody else with someone (and other train passangers) who actually already die bacause the train explosion in a real life.

Long long time ago, in 1993. There is a similiar movie story about an actor back to same situation again and again, Goundhog Day.

A weather man is reluctantly sent to cover a story about a weather forecasting “rat” (as he calls it). This is his fourth year on the story, and he makes no effort to hide his frustration. On awaking the ‘following’ day he discovers that it’s Groundhog Day again, and again, and again. First he uses this to his advantage, then comes the realisation that he is doomed to spend the rest of eternity in the same place, seeing the same people do the same thing EVERY day. Written by Rob Hartill

I don’t like this movie very much 🙁 I don’t like how many times the main actor did a same mistake again and again like he didn’t learn something from his past! Not because you will back again on same situation you can do a same thing, especially when the thing is a bad thing, huh! This is what I call “such as wasting time story” Likes we know where this movie will going to the end but the director or someone who take responsibility likes their audience to going around and around before they reach the final line, no point! But I appreciated in 1993 they already created story idea about back to the past over and over again like this 🙂

We are not finish yet

Here another movie I want relate it to Source Code. Created in 2005  The Jacket with Adrien Brody blast my movie mood! If Colen Stevens on Source Code back to the past over and over again to finish his mission, here Jack Starks ( Adrien Brodly) can go to the future again and again to finish his mission too 🙂

The film centers on a wounded Gulf war veteran who returns to his native Vermont suffering from bouts of amnesia. He is hitching and gets picked up by a stranger, things go pear shaped when a cop pulls them over and is murdered by the stranger. The vet. is wrongly accused of killing the cop and lands up in an asylum. A quack doctor prescribes a course of experimental therapy, restraining him in a heavy duty straight jacket-like device, and locks him away in a body drawer of the basement morgue. During course of his treatment he gets flashbacks and visions of his future , where he can foresee he is to die in four days time. The catch is he doesn’t know how. Thus commences the classic race against time. Written by Austin4577@aol.com

I don’t know if Jack can stay in his “future life” like Colter Steven, The movie end with unclear answer… will he or he will dissapear when he finally really die on reality (reality on this movie :)) actually there are so many conclutions we can make for this movie, that’s another reason I like this movie, we can let our imagination to create the end of the story.

So, after watching this 3 movies. I’m suspicious if Source Code story is colaboration between Groundhog Day and The Jacket story ( off course only about time, repeatedly and transcend from reality ), hehehe… Maybe I’m wrong, but thats what I can tell after I watched them all!
